When are names released & can I get them sooner?
A complete list of Student Recognition Award recipients is published in the graduation edition of the Daily Trojan. You may consult this list to determine if a student you nominated was selected. The specific award each recipient will receive is revealed at the Student Recognition Awards Ceremony on May 9, 2024. We are unable to share the names of recipients before that time or respond to individual requests for names.
Who is eligible?
Students (both undergraduate and graduate) who are graduating in the 2023-2024 academic year, including Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024. Students must have demonstrated non-academic contributions to the USC, local, or international community.
Can I nominate a family member?
No. While students who are related to faculty or staff can be nominated, we ask that faculty and staff refrain from nominating their own family members.
What do I need to know to do a nomination?
Student’s USC ID number, USC email, expected graduation date, and specific examples of the student’s non-academic contributions as they relate to the USC Unifying Values.
Who can come to the awards ceremony?
Anyone can come to the awards ceremony, including family, staff, faculty, and students. Nominated students have reserved seats. All other seats are on a first-come, first-served basis.
What if I need an accommodation to attend the ceremony?
Individuals with disabilities who need accommodations to attend this event may contact uscsrc@usc.edu with their name, USC email address, and student ID number. It is requested that individuals requiring accommodations or auxiliary aids such as sign language interpreters and alternative format materials notify us at least 7 business days prior to the event. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide reasonable accommodations.
What if I can’t make the ceremony?
The ceremony will be livestreamed so that those unable to make the event in-person can attend virtually. If you are a nominated student and are unable to attend, please reach out to uscsrc@usc.edu so that we can coordinate sending you your award.
